Undergraduate Program Accreditation

The Department of Social Welfare Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Indonesia (FISIP UI) offers an Undergraduate Program in Social Welfare Science, which has achieved an “Excellent” rating from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This accreditation status was obtained based on BAN-PT Decree Number 13976/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PPJ/S/XII/2021 and is valid until January 11, 2027.

The “Excellent” accreditation rating reflects excellent academic quality, high curriculum relevance to the needs of society and the professional world, as well as the Department’s commitment to providing higher education oriented towards scholarship, professionalism, and humanitarian values. This Undergraduate Program is designed to equip students with competencies in analyzing, designing, and implementing various forms of social intervention based on social work theories, social theories, and development theories.

As part of a leading research university in Indonesia, the Department of Social Welfare Science, FISIP UI, also actively develops scientific studies, applied research, and community service relevant to contemporary social welfare issues. Graduates of this program are prepared to become professionals and social scientists capable of making significant contributions to social development at local, national, and global levels.

As a form of commitment to regional higher education quality standards, the Undergraduate Program in Social Welfare Science, Department of Social Welfare Science, FISIP University of Indonesia, has successfully obtained certification from AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance) with certification number AP131UIO. This certification is valid for four years, from November 22, 2015, to November 21, 2019.

This recognition signifies that the study program has met the academic quality standards set by a network of leading universities in Southeast Asia. AUN-QA assesses various aspects of education delivery, ranging from curriculum, learning processes, internal quality assurance systems, faculty quality, supporting facilities, to the relevance of graduates to the needs of the job market and society. With this certification, the Undergraduate Program in Social Welfare Science demonstrates its readiness to compete and contribute at regional and global levels in the development of social welfare science and practice.

Participation in the AUN-QA quality assurance scheme is also part of the internationalization strategy of the Department of Social Welfare Science, FISIP UI, which aims to continuously improve academic quality, expand international cooperation networks, and produce graduates who are adaptive, competent, and possess a global perspective on social issues and human development.
