Social welfare development is a crucial and strategic issue in national development. To address this, continuous efforts are made to advance the field of social welfare by updating approaches, methods, and techniques to remain relevant to contemporary challenges. This commitment led to the establishment of the Social Welfare Science Study Center, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Indonesia (PUSKA KESOS), as an integral part of the Department of Social Welfare Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Indonesia.
PUSKA KESOS was established to advance the study of social welfare issues through research, consultation, intervention, and capacity building. Our comprehensive studies, utilizing a Social Welfare Science approach, are geared towards developing policies and programs to understand and address social issues such as poverty, vulnerability, inequality, disability, and other social problems. PUSKA KESOS also manages the publication of the Journal of Social Welfare Science (JIKS), which is accredited by SINTA RISTEK BRIN.
We possess expertise in academic research, action research, and evaluation; consultation and technical assistance; community engagement, and capacity building through various activities we conduct. Our methodology incorporates micro, mezzo, and macro interventions.
