Admission Requirements for Prospective New Students of the Doctoral Program in Social Welfare Science, FISIP UI

The Doctoral Program in Social Welfare Science, FISIP UI, accepts all Master’s (S2) graduates in Social Sciences and Humanities and related fields.

Admission to the Doctoral Study Program opens in the early to mid-year through UI’s independent admission pathway, namely the SIMAK UI Exam. Specifically, the requirements to join the Doctoral Program in Social Welfare Science, FISIP UI, include:

  1. Fulfill University requirements (register online and pass the selection exam)
  2. Letter of permission from the head of the institution for prospective students from government institutions
  3. Letter of recommendation from 2 (two) individuals holding at least a doctoral/S3 degree
  4. Upload documents to the online registration account: certified photocopy of Master’s (S2) diploma and certified photocopy of Master’s (S2) transcript. For graduates of foreign universities, their diplomas must be legalized and deemed equivalent to Master’s diplomas in Indonesia by DIKTI-Ministry of Higher Education.
  5. Submit a proposal of a minimum of 15 pages and a maximum of 20 pages, and a Curriculum Vitae (CV).

Fees

Based on the UI Education Fee Decree for 2025.

The BOP (Education Operational Fee) for the Doctoral Program in Social Welfare Science is payable per semester as follows:

Admissions

Admissions for the new academic year are open for Undergraduate (Bachelor’s), Master’s, and Doctoral programs.

Selection

An integrated entrance examination organized by Universitas Indonesia for prospective students who wish to study at UI.
