National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT)
The Undergraduate Program in Social Welfare Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FISIP UI), offers a Bachelor’s Degree Program in Social Welfare Studies that has been awarded an “Excellent” accreditation rating by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This accreditation status is based on BAN-PT Decree No. 13976/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PPJ/S/XII/2021 and is valid until January 11, 2027.
The “Excellent” accreditation rating reflects the program’s outstanding academic quality, the high relevance of its curriculum to societal and professional needs, and the Bachelor’s Program’s commitment to delivering higher education grounded in scientific rigor, professionalism, and humanitarian values. This undergraduate program is designed to equip students with the competencies to analyze, design, and implement various forms of social intervention based on social work theories, social theories, and development theories.
As part of a leading research university in Indonesia, the Undergraduate Program in Social Welfare Studies at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Indonesia, is actively engaged in developing scientific studies, applied research, and community service initiatives relevant to contemporary social welfare issues. Asean University Network (AUN)
As a form of commitment to maintaining the quality standards of higher education at the regional level, the Undergraduate Program in Social Welfare Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Indonesia, successfully obtained certification from AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance) with certification number AP131UIO. This certification was valid for four years, from November 22, 2015, to November 21, 2019.
This recognition signifies that the study program has met the academic quality standards set by the network of leading universities in the Southeast Asian region. AUN-QA evaluates various aspects of educational implementation, including curriculum, learning processes, internal quality assurance systems, faculty quality, supporting facilities, and the relevance of graduates to labor market and societal needs. With this certification, the Undergraduate Program in Social Welfare Studies demonstrates its readiness to compete and contribute at both regional and global levels in the advancement of social welfare knowledge and practice.
Participation in the AUN-QA quality assurance scheme is also part of the internationalization strategy of the Undergraduate Program in Social Welfare, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FISIP UI). This initiative aims to continuously enhance academic quality, expand international collaboration networks, and produce graduates who are adaptive, competent, and possess a global perspective on social issues and human development.

Program Objectives
In general, the Bachelor’s Program in Social Welfare Science aims to produce graduates with the foundational capacity to conduct social intervention through the development of programs that are preventive, curative, rehabilitative, and developmental, and who are capable of performing managerial tasks in the administration of human services organizations.

Graduates who are capable of analyzing and designing social interventions at the individual, family, group, organizational, local community, and national levels, utilizing social welfare theories in accordance with humanitarian values, social work ethics, and development ethics.

- Capable of analyzing social problems/issues at the local, national, and global levels using social welfare theories, which comprise social theory, development theory, social development theory, and social work theory, based on an evidence-based approach.
